Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice!

It is a glorious day! For the Lord has seen in our favor. The great and mighty Beowulf has sleighed the monster and has brought back its limb in remembrance. My kingdom is saved. My people are relieved and joyous. For now on, we can sleep without the worry of not waking back up. We can enjoy the purpose of Herot once again. For all have seen the wondrous works of the Lord.
We heard the acts of Beowulf and all have had a sigh of relief. I and my people are safe. My kingdom is safe. For we can worry no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Come of a "Savior"

He arrives with the best of his men from the land of the Geats. In a mail skirt and with a sword, shield, and helmet, He expects to beat the horrendous Grendel. I simply could not believe what was going on. I heard the words of this mighty warrior and learned it was the great Beowulf. I had heard of the many battles he'd won and the monsters he'd taken the life away from.
I tried to warn the anxious warrior about the strength and troubles of Grendel, but still he insisted on taking on the challenge and resting the kingdom's fate on his shoulders. The most outrageous thing about Beowulf was that he wanted to take on Grendel and fight with his bare fists. Although it seemed impossible, I believed in him. For he was the Danes only hope....

Feeling Trapped

I do remember a time when there was such great joy. Men enjoying themselves and having a splendid time. They would come from battle and celebrate our victories. We would drink and be merry. A time where there were no worries or cares. I could sit there and and see the happiness in the room. Now, when I see the room I just see such emptiness. My kingdom is all scared of the wrath of Grendel and what he might do next. I wonder would this time ever end. Will my kingdom get out of this evil?????

A Lost Mourning

Waking to the stench of death is the worst you could ever encounter.I never thought i would walk into my wonderful mead-hall to see the horrid sight. Blood was everywhere, and to see my men's body parts scattered all on the floor just made my heart sink. I knew deep down inside exactly who had done this treacherous deed...Grendel. Grendel hated all the things my kingdom was about. He hated the happiness and joys in my kingdom. It seems that he would sit in his cave and just contemplate on what to do in order to destroy my lands. Well, his plan has given him success. Never thought it would come to a time like this. He may not have destroyed the structure but he has damaged the hearts of my people. we will forever mourn the loss of those men that laid to never wake again.
